Job summary

Sound is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform maintenance and repair tasks for our Seattle facilities. You will assist the Operations Manager, coordinate preventive maintenance, and supervise outsourced services to keep Sound facilities in optimal condition.

The role requires hands-on skills across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and more, with a strong safety mindset and ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Two years of experience in facilities maintenance (Maintenance Tech I).
• Knowledgeable in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and outsourced services.
• Read instructions, blueprints, diagrams and schematics to perform duties.
• Maintain tool inventory and ensure proper use and safety.
• Prioritize work and coordinate with Sound team to minimize disruption.
