Job summary

Medcarepediatric is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman in Houston to manage general building upkeep for a commercial facility. You will handle painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and preventative maintenance under minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in facilities or related maintenance, possess hand and power tool experience, and can lift up to 75 lbs. A valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs
• Complete painting, drywall, carpentry, and handyman projects
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Assist with preventative maintenance including HVAC filter changes
• Repair doors, locks, fixtures, ceiling tiles, flooring and trim
• Maintain grounds, parking areas and exterior appearance
• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed
• Move furniture and assist with facility improvement projects
• Keep tools, equipment and maintenance records organized
