MedCare Pediatric Group in Texas is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support the daily upkeep of our commercial facility. This hands-on role emphasizes reliability, problem-solving, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include painting, drywall, carpentry, basic plumbing and electrical work, HVAC filter changes, and routine inspections. You will operate hand and power tools, lift up to 75 lbs, and coordinate with vendors when specialized

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of facilities/maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience safely operating hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.
• Clean driving record with Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance and general handyman services.
• Paint, drywall, carpentry, flooring and facility improvement projects.
• Plumbing and electrical repairs for lights, switches, outlets, and fixtures.
• HVAC filter changes and routine inspections for preventative maintenance.
• Repair doors, locks, ceilings, fixtures, and building hardware.
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, and exterior appearance.
• Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors as needed.
• Operate a passenger shuttle van; training provided.
• Maintain organized tools, equipment, supplies, and records.
• Identify maintenance issues and address problems promptly and safely.

Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman

MedCare Pediatric Group is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support the daily maintenance and upkeep of our commercial facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, troubleshooting problems, completing repairs, and taking pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑functioning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance, repairs, and general handyman services
• Complete painting, drywall, carpentry, flooring, and other facility improvement projects
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs, including lights, switches, outlets, and fixtures
• Conduct preventative maintenance, including HVAC filter changes and routine inspections
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, ceiling tiles, fixtures, furniture, and building hardware
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, and the overall exterior appearance of the facility
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and other materials as needed
• Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors when specialized repairs are required
• Operate a passenger shuttle van as needed; training will be provided
• Maintain organized tools, equipment, supplies, and maintenance records
• Identify maintenance issues and address problems promptly and safely
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
• 3+ years of experience in facilities, commercial building, apartment, hotel, hospital, property maintenance, or a related field preferred
• Experience safely operating hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requests
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
