Job summary

Gifthealth is seeking a Maintenance Associate to keep our facilities running smoothly and safely in Columbus. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and equipment, respond to work orders, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely service.

You will inspect facilities, follow safety standards, and document activities in our CMMS. The role requires self-direction, strong trouble-shooting, and strong communication to support patient-centered operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• EPA 608, HVAC/R certification, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred. Electrical journeyman or plumbing apprentice credentials a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or skilled trades.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: scheduled maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Reactive Repairs: diagnose and repair issues across carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades.
• Inspections & Compliance: routine safety inspections; identify code or compliance concerns; escalate to licensed contractor when needed.
• Vendor Coordination: coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and service vendors for specialized work.
• Inventory & Supplies: manage inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance materials; track reorders.
• Documentation: log maintenance activities and inspection results accurately in CMMS.
• Emergency Response: on-call maintenance and after-hours response for urgent issues.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to improve facility operations and energy efficiency.
