Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical safety, troubleshooting, and repair for AC/DC, including 3-phase 480-volt equipment.
  • Experience with PLC control systems (Siemens and Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with MS Office and CMMS (SAP preferred).
  • Familiar with hand tools, machine shop equipment, precision measuring instruments, DMM, cutting and welding.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays; lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Support plastics processing equipment used in extrusion, thermoforming, and injection molding.
  • Use drawings and diagnostic tools to identify defects and restore equipment to service.
  • Replace components such as drives, motors, pumps, heaters, switches, and HMI panels.
  • Work with maintenance parts, contact vendors, and escalate repair issues with possible solutions.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing client in Beaverton, Oregon, to support industrial maintenance operations in a high-volume production environment. In this role, you will work with a maintenance team responsible for keeping plastics manufacturing equipment running across extrusion, thermoforming, and injection molding processes. The position requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and support a 24/7 facility where uptime, reliability, and quick response to equipment issues are essential. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the ability to work longer shifts or alternate schedules when needed.

What You Will Do?

Your Skills
  • You have a high school diploma or GED and post-secondary technical, vocational, or military training.

  • You have at least 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in plastics manufacturing.

  • You understand electrical safety, troubleshooting, and repair for AC and DC systems, including 3-phase 480-volt equipment.

  • You have experience with PLC control systems, with Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred.

  • You can read and understand mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings and documentation.

  • You have experience using Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems, with SAP preferred.

  • You are familiar with basic hand tools, machine shop equipment, precision measuring instruments, digital multi-meters, cutting, and welding equipment.

  • You can work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.

Pay Details:

$30.00 to $34.00 per hour
