Job summary

St. Thomas More Catholic Community is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Team Member to support the upkeep of the campus. The role includes cleaning, routine maintenance, event setup and takedown, and ensuring safety and security on site.

You will operate cleaning equipment, dispose of waste properly, maintain exterior spaces, and report issues to the Director of Facilities & Maintenance. This is a part‑time, on‑site position in Saint Paul, MN, offering 20–30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Completion of daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and seasonal maintenance tasks for parish facilities.
• Ensure facilities meet cleanliness standards in compliance with local and state health regulations.
• Operate equipment to clean floors.
• Review and fulfill facility setup and event preparation requests, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Ensure building is secure and all entrances are locked after events.
• Implement safety and security procedures.
• Notify supervisor and record details in the case of any incident or injury.
• Respond to alarms when needed.
• Must be proactive in bringing building maintenance issues to the Director of Facilities & Maintenance.
• Perform painting, light carpentry, and repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities & Maintenance.

• Ensure proper and lawful disposal of all waste, including hazardous materials.
• Operate equipment to clean floors.

• Review and fulfill facility setup and event preparation requests, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Ensure building is secure and all entrances are locked after events.
