Job summary

Röchling Medical in Town of Lancaster, NY, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities, and to assist in setup and adjustments. You will maintain logs, ensure 5S and safety standards, and support other departments as needed. Winter snow removal and occasional vehicle runs may be required.

The role emphasizes GMP awareness and proactive communication to improve processes and product quality across the site.

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities, and maintains documentation of same.
• Performs various testing and monitoring of facility to meet safety, regulatory and quality performance standards.
• Assists in the setting-up of equipment, workstations, and work cells.
• Inserts tools into machines and makes adjustments such as timing, indexing, feed rate, speed, sensing devices, and other machine parts that conform to engineering specifications and standards.
• Maintains production and quality logs/records.
• Maintains tools and work area to 5S and safety standards.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery or within the facility.
• Starts machines to test their performance, and assists workers with basic machine adjustments or repairs.
• Assists Janitorial department with all janitorial duties and responsibilities.
• May be required to make runs with company vehicle to pick-up and drop off parts and equipment.
• Shovel snow, treat grounds with ice melt and operate snow blower in winter months.
• Adhere to all company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Follows the official policy for Good Manufacturing Practices as required in the Medical Device Amendments to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
• Provides feedback and pro-active communication to supervisor, management, and co-workers to ensure efficient and effective operations. Contributes input to management based on knowledge of processes toward process and product improvement efforts of the company.
• Provide other department and manufacturing support as requested by immediate supervisor.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
