Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires at least 5 years of progressive, responsible experience in skilled trades
• Leadership skills and experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of building, grounds and facilities maintenance and repair
• Organized, computer literate with MS Office
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech
• Valid driver's license
• Familiarity with work order systems (CMMS) a plus
• CMMS and building management systems experience a plus
• Safety standards knowledge for facilities maintenance

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in building and facilities maintenance and repair
• Ensures safety standards and precautions are followed
• Inspects completed work for accuracy
• Ensures equipment is in proper working order
• Maintains records and prepares weekly/monthly reports
• Prepares time records for payroll purposes
• Prepares cost estimates on proposed projects
• Trains and counsels subordinate employees
• Keeps records and prepares reports
• Operates tools safely and effectively
• Maintains records for CMMS and work orders
