Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Montgomery Village, MD is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily facilities operations and create a safe, welcoming environment for residents, guests and team members. This hands-on role supervises maintenance staff and ensures building systems operate efficiently.

You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems, oversee preventive maintenance and safety inspections, and help with move-ins/outs and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily maintenance operations and team assignments
• Perform hands-on repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical work
• Oversee preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Champion fire & life safety procedures and participate in safety committee efforts
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Risk Management and regulatory standards
• Maintain tools, equipment inventory and maintenance logs
• Assist with painting, refurbishing and resident suite preparation
• Support move-ins, move-outs and vehicle maintenance
• Train team members on emergency procedures and safe chemical handling
• Review timekeeping and support payroll accuracy
• Assist with driving community vehicle as needed
