Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead hands-on maintenance, PM activities, and safety across client sites in the United States. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems while coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring reliable operations.

A customer-service mindset and a valid driver’s license are essential. We value proactive problem solving, learning client-site norms, and strong English

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 5 yrs related experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Customer interface (communications, problem solving, work prioritization & scheduling).
• Troubleshooting skills (diagnosing problems, taking meter readings, referring to manufacturer specifications equipment guides).
• Electrical skills (changing and installing lights, outlets, minor electrical work).
• Familiarity with Emergency Generator and Fire / Life / Safety Systems.
• HVAC / CRAC Units (PM, system monitoring).
• Plumbing skills (restroom repair).
• Building skills (doors, hardware, furniture).
• Painting for touch-ups.
• Computer skills (email, scheduling, maintenance management, work orders & PMs).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance and inspections of facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and oversee subcontracted services.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and continuity of operations across client sites.
• Coordinate work orders and schedule maintenance activities.
• Learn client site norms and operate within those parameters.

Position summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. This position is a hands-on technician position responsible for performing work assignments, identifying needed work, preparing work areas, and conducting work to ensure the safety of occupants, continuity of business operations, and the cleanliness of all work areas. The position will support South Carolina rest areas.

The company desires an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service, exceptional technical skill and an aptitude for facilities maintenance including electrical, mechanical, general building troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. The candidate will be a hands-on technician, self-starter, dependable, have demonstrated knowledge in conducting building inspections, maintenance, and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites, buildings, systems, norms of operation, occupancy, and conditions of use in order to anticipate and respond to customer needs and requirements responsibly and professionally. Proficiency in English as a second is a requirement, be customer service oriented, a self-starter, reliable, flexible, conduct themselves in a professional manner, be able to make informed decisions, and have a willingness to learn. A company vehicle will be provided.

Experience and Skills required:

• HVAC / CRAC Units (PM, system monitoring, knowledge and familiarization), air cooled water chiller knowledge a plus
• Plumbing skills, (minor restroom repair of toilets, sinks, and fixtures)
• Building skills, (doors & hardware, furniture & hardware, bulletin boards, etc.)
• Painting skills, (for touch‑ups and misc.)
• Computer skills, (email, scheduling, maintenance management, work order & PM’s)

Schedule:

Full time; Day shift, Monday through Friday. Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.

Salary:

Based on experience, plus benefits.
