Job summary

SUNY Brockport is seeking a Supervisor for facilities trades to oversee a team of semi-skilled and skilled trades staff. You will prepare evaluations, inspect work quality, and coordinate design proposals with internal and external customers.

The role requires planning materials and bid proposals, using Microsoft Project, and tracking time and materials to ensure timely project completion. Leadership and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• One year of trade experience after completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a number of semi-skilled and skilled trades employees.
• Prepares employees evaluations.
• Inspects employees quality of work.
• Coordinates design proposals and work schedules with internal and external customers.
• Prepares scope and specification writings for projects (materials and bid proposals).
• Uses Microsoft Project and other computer systems by preparing project plans and tracking time and materials.
• Ensures the timely completion of projects by coordinating activities and resources and meeting routinely with other Facilities and Planning leaders and supervisors.
