Job summary

The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor I to perform maintenance on the grounds of the Roederer Correctional Complex and oversee inmate workers. This role requires identifying needs, issuing work orders, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and three years in building or grounds maintenance or related trades. On-call duties and a 6-month probation apply.

Responsibilities

• Identifies maintenance needs and performs basic repairs of plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance issues.
• Prioritizes and verifies completions of work orders.
• Requisitions maintenance tools and supplies as needed.
• Supervises and assists offenders in daily maintenance and repair tasks with safety.
• Tracks assignment of tools and parts
