Job summary

Global Industrial is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to manage all facilities and equipment at the distribution center and office. You will lead predictive, preventive, and breakdown maintenance for critical assets while managing third-party vendors and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

The role is hands-on with leadership responsibilities, requiring strong communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills. Travel up to 25% across the network may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading a maintenance program in a supervisory function.
• 5+ years hands-on experience as a maintenance technician on material handling equipment and building infrastructure.
• Experience maintaining building infrastructure and systems including safety, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire suppression.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, inspection, repairs and daily maintenance of distribution center equipment.
• Establish and manage preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
• Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance of facility equipment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies; meet code requirements.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with site leadership to implement them.
• Maintain accurate spare parts inventory for critical MRO items.
• Manage 3rd party vendors and contractors; schedule and verify invoicing.
• Mentor and coach maintenance technicians and drive their development.
• Conduct regular site inspections and foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Travel up to 25% to other network centers as needed.
