Job summary

Catholic Diocese of Wichita in Kansas seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to oversee day‑to‑day physical plant operations across the church, parish offices, parish center and school. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and routine maintenance under the direction of the Business Manager, ensuring safe, functional facilities for staff, students and parishioners.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with vendors

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician in facilities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Background with electrical and plumbing work is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• Practicing Catholic desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and general maintenance.
• Handle maintenance requests and document work orders.
• Order supplies and manage janitorial items.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Maintain campus maintenance manual and coordinate with vendors.
• Assist with events and security of buildings.
