Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support a safe, reliable hospital environment. You will perform inspections, repair a wide range of building systems and medical support equipment, and document work details.

You will work with the Plant Operations team, respond to emergencies, participate in on-call shifts, and ensure compliance with codes. A Kansas vocational-education background and 3–5 years of maintenance experience are required, plus a valid KS driver’s

Qualifications

• Graduate of a vocational school in a related field.
• 3–5 years of general maintenance experience in an industrial plant, building complex, healthcare/hospital setting, or for a general contractor servicing these environments.
• Must have a telephone, available transportation, and be able to respond to work immediately in case of an emergency.
• Must be available for on-call flexible shifts and long working hours in emergency situations
• Must have a valid State of Kansas Driver's License with no stipulations and be insurable to operate the company vehicle

Responsibilities

• Performs the general inspection and repair duties to keep the physical plant in safe operating condition.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a large variety of equipment and systems under the guidance of the Plant Operations Director.
• This work requires skills in a variety of trades.
• Maintains proper documentation of all tests, inspections and repairs.
• Works closely with agents from regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and systems/services on an on-going basis.
