Facilities Maintenance Supervisor – 3rd Shift

Role Definition: Supervises maintenance activities for facilities and infrastructures in a hardware manufacturing plant or site.

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) has an opening for a Facilities Supervisor on 3rd Shift. In this role, you will lead a maintenance team comprised of skilled trades, mechanical and electrical repairs, maintenance planning, preventive maintenance programs, and apprentice & intern development. Your team will provide efficient, economical, and timely services to support manufacturing operations.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with engineers, partners, and suppliers to meet business goals within sustainable use of facilities and budget constraints.
• Build an effective facility maintenance team and conduct training to ensure quality performance.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current utilities and equipment, providing solutions to challenges and risks.
• Oversee inspections, repairs, and updates of facilities; maintain order at the site.
• Manage work planning, scheduling, monitoring, and review of team activities.
• Handle expense budgets, capital forecasts, expenditures, and personnel issues including performance evaluations.
• Address complex issues requiring analysis and innovative solutions.
• Provide leadership to craftsmen to meet customer expectations and organizational goals.
• Maintain material inventory and records of tools and repair parts; coordinate major projects for timely completion.
• Work may involve physical activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and standing on concrete for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive hand movements with tools.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces as required.

Degree Requirement: College Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Additional Skills and Knowledge: Budgeting, effectiveness measurement, problem solving, manufacturing systems, equipment operation and maintenance, standards and policies, plant facilities management, supplier management.

Preferred Candidates Will Also Have:

• Understanding of Caterpillar's organization, products, policies.
• Progressively responsible roles with results delivery.
• Leadership and team engagement skills.
• Supervisory or planning experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and facilities operations, analytical skills, strong communication.

Salary Range: $95,640.00 - $143,520.00. Compensation varies based on experience, skills, and other factors.
