Job summary

Colonial Downs Group, part of Churchill Downs Incorporated, seeks an experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee Environmental Services and maintenance operations in Virginia. You will lead staff, ensure brand standards, manage preventive programs, and coordinate with contractors to keep the property safe and well-maintained.

The role requires strong leadership, budget awareness, and the ability to respond quickly to guest service needs while complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical certifications in related fields.
• Five (5) years in engineering, facility management, janitorial services, or related field, with supervisory experience.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of three (3) years driving history.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, and management of Facilities staff.
• Communicate workloads, train, motivate, and evaluate staff.
• Maintain department standards and budgets; assist staffing.
• Review EVS and Maintenance to optimize staffing and service quality.
• Establish preventative maintenance programs and support renovations.
• Inspect public areas and supervise external contractors as needed.
• Ensure OSHA and Hazcom compliance and maintain MSD sheets.
• Resolves problems within authority; coordinate with supervisor for broader issues.
