Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Manager, Facilities & Maintenance in Hampton, VA. You will oversee both EVS and maintenance, establish preventive programs, and ensure safe, compliant operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.

Direct oversight of the EVS team and coordination with contractors are key aspects of the role. The position carries a $70,000-$75,000 annual compensation, requires extensive supervisory experience, and a valid racing license.

Qualifications

• Ten years in engineering or facility management with progressive supervisory experience.
• Facility Management Certification preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving history.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions, and guest service.
• Manage utility expenses and drive cost reductions through improved operational efficiencies and new technologies.
• Establish preventative maintenance programs and maintain service records; lead renovations as needed.
• Inspect quality of work and supervise outside contractors to meet standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Lead EVS team to ensure cleanliness and brand standards.
• Ensure OSHA and Hazcom compliance and maintain MSD sheets.
• Assist with budget, staffing, and coordination of rehab projects.
