Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking an EVS Supervisor to support the facilities leadership team in Virginia's Colonial Downs Group operations. The role focuses on day-to-day EVS management, safety compliance, and staff development.

Responsibilities include training attendants, coordinating tasks, pre-shift briefings, and ensuring proper labeling and handling of chemicals. The position requires a high school diploma, 6–12 months related experience, and a valid racing license where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months to one year of experience in related field preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory support to facilities leadership for day-to-day EVS operations.
• Train EVS Attendants and ensure results meet company expectations.
• Coordinate tasks, checklists, and pre-shift briefings with the Facilities Manager.
• Ensure OSHA and Hazcom compliance and maintain MSD sheets.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and safety training of chemicals.
• Receive equipment and supplies and manage storage.
• Maintain labeled storage areas and monitor equipment condition.
• Resolve problems within scope and escalate others as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
