Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $79,000.00 to $131,600.00. This position is eligible for participation in our short-term incentive program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects the potential base pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual base pay compensation will depend, in part, on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills. The anticipated compensation range described above is subject to change and the compensation ultimately paid may be higher or lower than the range described above.

You will oversee a team of 11 maintenance technicians in keeping our Distribution Center maintained and running. You will report to the Manager DC Facilities. You will provide maintenance support for our maintenance team working Monday through Friday from 3:00 am to 4:30 pm along with 24/7 on-call expectation.

You Will:

1. Review work requests and respond or assign to your team to ensure projects are completed within deadlines.
2. Provide coaching, feedback, and development to team members to create an environment that promotes growth and safety. This includes performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary action.
3. Identify and diagnose problems and recommend solutions for all equipment, building, and system failures, including automation.
4. Make recommendations to improve performance, efficiencies, and safety of Operational Equipment such as conveyors and power industrial equipment.
5. Analyze preventive and predictive maintenance programs for effectiveness or safety and develop programs where none exist.
6. Use the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to create preventative maintenance schedules and work assignments to repair, replace, or remove equipment, fixtures, or furniture.
7. Partner with Operations and other departments within Grainger and with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to limit impact on operations.

You Have:

1. Experience leading a team of maintenance technicians.
2. Five years' experience in large warehouse or distribution center maintenance operations.
3. Experience maintaining building management systems and automated material handling equipment such as I/O device network systems (e.g., Profibus/CanBus/Ethernet), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Motor controls/Drives, and Power Distribution Systems.
4. Knowledge of Fire Protection systems, Electrical controls, and distribution.
