Job summary

The State of Hawaiʻi, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Institutions Division, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee building repairs and maintenance at facilities.

You will plan, lay out, schedule and assign work orders, supervise staff, inspect workmanship, estimate material and labor costs, requisition supplies, and report on progress and quality. A valid driver’s license is required and compliance with PREA rules applies.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of work experience in performing a variety of building maintenance repair work, two years as a journeyworker or equivalent.
• Driver's license required at time of appointment.
• PREA compliance as required by federal law.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in the repair and maintenance of buildings and facilities.
• Plans, lays out, schedules and assigns work orders for building maintenance workers.
• Instructs subordinates and ensures safe, quality workmanship; inspects work in progress and upon completion.
