Purpose:

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the maintenance and repair of buildings, showrooms, distribution center, equipment, and systems to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, janitorial staff, managing vendors, contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position will require travel to the showrooms to complete work orders and check in on the progress of repairs. Our store locations are in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus.

General Description of Duties:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the facilities maintenance and janitorial team and support interviewing for open positions.
  • Completes annual performance reviews and coaching documentation for all employees in the department establishing clear expectations of goals
  • Ability to execute all HR related policies timely
  • Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of facilities that are focused on expense reduction opportunities
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues during and after business hours as needed.
  • Schedule, oversee and complete preventive maintenance and repair work to ensure timely completion of open tickets.
  • Coordinate bid collection, project management and contractors for facilities management and/or renovation projects entailing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, alarm system and elevator maintenance.
  • Inspect buildings, systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), and equipment for functionality and safety.
  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, high pressure washers.
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an as needed basis.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and service reports.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and parts and reorder as necessary and research solutions for supplies that are cost effective.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Train and support maintenance staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets and approve and track expenditures.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using maintenance management software and MS Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
