Job summary

The Beach Post-Acute in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping the community in good repair, interior and exterior. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related mechanical systems, with responsive repairs and thorough documentation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and about 1 year of maintenance experience in related fields; clinical environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing/electrical, or appliance maintenance in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems according to procedures and laws.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
• Check maintenance logs and document corrections.
• Maintain interior fixtures and equipment in good repair.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedule and document servicing of equipment.
