Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Know-how of boilers, compressors, generators and related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiar with building codes and safety regulations.
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance services with related departments and report to Administrator.
• Assist in preventive maintenance program development.
• Repair or coordinate outside vendors for repairs, ensuring proper supervision.
• Inspect storage, workrooms, and closets for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys and implement corrective plans.
• Supervise safety and fire prevention programs and PPE.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical/infectious waste per policy.
• Handle emergencies and reschedule maintenance tasks as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
