Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking a seasoned Facilities Maintenance professional to support expansion of aseptic production facilities. The role focuses on cost-effective maintenance, contract management, and safety across sites.

You will work with a cross-site team, supervise staff, and drive improvements in facility operations, waste management, and non-GMP tasks. Strong planning and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in engineering, business or planning, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years in facilities maintenance or similar field.
• Building maintenance knowledge/experience required.
• Good communication & writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license & ability to drive box truck.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
• Manage and execute contracts for services while improving value.
• Maintain the facility & respond timely to maintenance requests.
• Plan & perform general building repairs (fixtures, walls, floors, stairs).
• Routinely audit building & parking lot cleanliness & maintenance.
• Work independently on more complex projects.
• May provide direction to less experienced staff.
• Participate in spill response & first aid teams with EHS.
• Update Facility Management SharePoint site & records.
• Support shipping, receiving & non-GMP warehouse tasks as needed.
• Provide back up for waste management.
