Job summary

State of Ohio's Transportation - Central Office in Columbus, OH, seeks a Facilities Maintenance & Inspection worker. You will maintain and repair the Central Office facilities, using hand tools and equipment, and work as part of a cohesive team in a full-time role.

Typical hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with overtime eligibility per FLSA. Candidates should have basic arithmetic and at least 6 months of maintenance experience, and may need a CDL if required by the equipment used.

Qualifications

• Formal arithmetic education plus reading/writing/speaking English required.
• 6 months of maintenance repair experience (electric, plumbing, carpentry, masonry) with hand & power tools.
• Completion of the mandated basic firefighter course S-130/S-190 is required.
• Valid commercial driver's license if motor equipment is regulated by OH revised code.
