Job summary

JLL is hiring a Building Maintenance Assistant and Recycling Tech in Lexington, KY on-site. The role supports reactive and preventive maintenance, upkeep, and the recycling program to sustain facility operations.

You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient building performance. Responsibilities include basic repairs, electrical/plumbing tasks, cleaning, event setup, and managing recycling activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license and forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills including email, work order systems, and record keeping.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent record-keeping and documentation abilities.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Professional communication with occupants, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing reactive & preventive work orders on building systems and manufacturing line systems.
• Maintain, operate, and repair building and manufacturing line systems.
• Assist with reactive work orders and basic maintenance tasks.
• Perform minor building repairs including patching walls and painting.
• Replace light bulbs and ballasts; assist with plumbing tasks.
• Maintain building cleanliness and setup/teardown for meetings and events.
• Move furniture/equipment and manage doors/air filters as needed.
• Coordinate recycling program activities and vendor pickup schedules.
• Maintain records of recyclable materials and report volumes.
• Assist with after-hours building activities and attend training seminars.
• Interact with customers with a positive demeanor.
