Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facility operations, general repairs, or a related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic building systems, tools, maintenance practices, and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) preferred.
• Must possess an active, valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
• Must be able to attend the work site as scheduled and work overtime as needed or directed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient building operations.
• Repair and maintain ceilings, walls, doors, locks, hardware, and other building components.
• Complete patching, painting, touch-up work, and installation or repair of shelves, furnishings, and wall-mounted equipment.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely while supporting preventive maintenance activities.
• Identify and report facility deficiencies, material needs, and maintenance issues requiring corrective action.
• Assist with building system repairs, equipment and furniture moves, and maintain compliance with safety standards, building codes, and ILSM requirements.
• Accurately document completed work orders and maintenance activities in a timely manner.
• Maintains facility appearance through routine upkeep and repairs.
• Assists in maintaining off-site buildings and properties owned by Lake Region Healthcare.
• Supports departmental projects focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Responds to service requests in a professional and customer-focused manner.
• Works collaboratively with other departments to minimize disruptions to patient care and operations.
• Assists with grounds maintenance as needed.
• Assists with snow removal, seasonal maintenance, and exterior facility upkeep when required.
• Assists with security-related duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
