Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply in Gardner, KS is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep the warehouse, building, and grounds clean and well-maintained. You’ll perform routine upkeep, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, assisting with larger repairs with external vendors, and following OSHA safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities/building maintenance or custodial work is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and routine upkeep.
• Strong attention to detail and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Must read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Keep warehouse, facility, and grounds clean and organized.
• Operate floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and cleaning equipment safely.
• Perform minor repairs (painting, changing bulbs, door adjustments).
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Support preventive maintenance and coordinate larger repairs with vendors.
• Clear debris and hazards from warehouse areas.
• Address housekeeping and safety concerns as they arise.
• Assist with warehouse projects and facility improvements.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and company policies.
