Job summary

Haven Hospice is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our care centers, administration offices, and grounds in prime condition. The role covers interior/exterior upkeep, safety compliance, and coordinating with vendors for preventive maintenance.

The technician will perform routine inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting, replace filters, and document work while supporting staff during emergencies and after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in cleaning and basic facility maintenance.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electric, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Actively maintains a clean, safe, professional facility and grounds.
• Conducts quarterly fire drills and annual drills for staff, with documentation.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance and records in QA logbook.
• Inspects HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems; records findings.
• Responds to maintenance requests and after-hours emergencies.
