Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities leader to oversee the maintenance program and staff in a large facility. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and coordinate with vendors to keep equipment available for production.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills, plus 5+ years in maintenance management. Proactive planning and effective communication are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years prior experience in Maintenance/Facility and Preventative Maintenance Program management.
• Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Good organizational and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and able to work from ladders up to 10 feet.
• Must own a set of standard hand tools.
• Experience with PC spreadsheet and database applications.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Innovation: ability to use creativity and judgment to resolve problems.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Maintenance department within the monthly budget.
• Monitor/implement facility equipment maintenance/safety program to ensure regulations are met.
• Expedite and repair equipment on production floor safely, while complying with HACCP guidelines.
• Work with vendors to implement inventory control of equipment parts.
• Identify parts replenishment resources and search for alternative sources when cost increases.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate the use of all maintenance activities and resources.
• Advise the General Manager on equipment maintenance and impact on availability.
• Maintain maintenance records and preventative maintenance program.
• Coordinate maintenance reconciliations every 2 weeks with department managers.
• Monitor calibration control and TMDE inventory within the facility.
• Execute jobs assigned by General Manager and Engineering promptly.
