Job summary

Museum of Ice Cream in Boston is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee all facility operations for the museum, mobile units, warehouses, and pop-ups. You will supervise the Facilities team, manage budgets, and ensure safety, health, and brand standards across all sites.

This full-time role requires hands-on maintenance planning, vendor negotiations, and on-site leadership during installations and events, with a focus on preserving infrastructure and delivering high-quality guest

Qualifications

• Senior Facilities Technician experience preferred
• 2+ years of facilities/engineering operations experience
• Ability to read and collaborate on CAD designs and projects

Responsibilities

• Identify and address day-to-day maintenance repairs for museum assets
• Develop ongoing maintenance plans for building management
• Ensure 100% health & safety compliance
• Provide daily action plans and reports
• Manage vendor and contract relationships for projects
• Coordinate with leadership for timely completion of contracted work
• Oversee lighting, sound, and stage facility usage and maintenance
• Lead on-site during installations and events
