Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Facilities/EVS Manager to maintain the physical integrity of the site through EVS and maintenance, covering daily cleaning, preventative upkeep, repairs, and project management.

The role oversees staffing, utility costs, and renovations, ensuring OSHA/Hazcom compliance and coordination with vendors to keep operations safe and efficient across the property.

Qualifications

• Ten years in engineering, facility management, or related area with supervisory experience.
• Facility Management Certification strongly preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
• Must have a current driver's license with minimum 3 years driving history.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance and EVS activities to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions, and profitability.
• Manages utility expenses and leads initiatives to maintain lowest costs through efficiencies and new technologies.
• Establishes preventative maintenance programs and maintains service records; leads renovations.
• Inspects quality of work and assigns staff; supervises outside contractors to standards.
• Works with team and vendors to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment.
• Leads EVS team to ensure cleanliness meets brand standards.
• Supervises building exterior maintenance and curb appeal including snow removal and painting.
