Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Columbus, NE is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee all building systems, safety and equipment upkeep for production and engineering areas.

You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate with production, manage contractors, ensure utility services and safety devices are in place, and drive downtime reduction and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Five years of supervisory experience.
• General maintenance experience.
• Must satisfactorily complete HAZWOPER training.
• Will complete emergency contingency plan implementation training within six months of appointment.
• Will complete hazardous waste management procedures (RCRA) training within six months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Manages and directs facilities and maintenance activities.
• Coordinates with production management regarding new line layouts and equipment requirements.
• Determines services (heat, light, electrical, venting) to support production.
• Plans and executes moves to minimize downtime and assists with equipment installation.
• Coordinates outside contractors for work not done by company technicians.
• Manages changes to facilities including utility services (power, water, gas).
• Plans and maintains safety devices (sprinkler systems, alarms, exits).
