Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Columbus, NE is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for a weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 3:30am-4:00pm). The role performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment to support production.

Overtime available. Responsibilities include periodic maintenances, prioritizing repairs, documenting actions, and ensuring safety practices per OSHA.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Industrial Electro/Mechanical Systems Maintenance or 5 years of equivalent experience.
• Display specific training in Electrical and/or Electronic Theory.
• Display specific training in Mechanical Systems Maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams and related source materials.
• Ability to quickly diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore operation.
• Ability to use appropriate tools and test equipment for repairs.
• Must perform manual dexterity to operate tools.
• Must adhere to OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Follow production-driven work priorities and document repairs.
• Input repair actions into the maintenance program as they occur.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and reassemble equipment per layouts and manuals.
• Prioritize machine repairs based on production needs and communicate with supervisors.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
