Job summary

The Brownsville Independent School District is seeking a Manager, Facilities/Maintenance to oversee and review design drawings, specifications, and construction projects. You will inspect progress, report deficiencies, and maintain inspection checklists.

Field work is mandatory, and you will coordinate with architects and engineers on past, present, and future projects. Immediate start date is available, with a full-time role in Brownsville, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree or minimum five years in heavy commercial building supervision, construction management or operational management.
• Minimum of five years experience in construction, engineering, maintenance, facility planning and/or site acquisition.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience in facility maintenance and construction.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review design working drawings and specifications and construction projects.
• Inspect and report construction progress and deficiencies.
• Provide and maintain inspection checklists to monitor job progress and close out documents.
• Field work will be mandatory.
• Communicate with architects and engineers concerning past, present, and future projects.
