Brownsville Independent School District's Maintenance Department is seeking a Director, Facilities/Maintenance to oversee renovation, facility planning, estimating, and reporting to central administration. The director will manage repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth district operations.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years in construction, engineering, maintenance, facility planning or site acquisition; Master's preferred; asbestos cert preferred; strong focus

Job Description

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree; and
• Minimum of five years experience in any of the following: construction, engineering,maintenance, facility planning and/or site acquisition.

PREFERRED:

• Master's Degree; and
• Asbestos certification or experience; and
• Heavy emphasis in commercial building maintenance and construction.

The role of the Director, Facilities/Maintenance is to provide administrative expertise and knowledge of building maintenance, and custodial training services that will provide for a smoothly functioning district program of renovation, facility planning, estimating and reporting progress to central administration. The director is to assume responsibility for repairs and preventative maintenance procedures. The above duties are to be conducted in a manner consistent with board policy and with statutes and standards of regulatory agencies.
