Job summary

Tasus Corporation in Florence, AL, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance program for our Alabama facilities. You will oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance to protect equipment and personnel.

You will manage maintenance staff, coordinate with operations, and ensure regulatory compliance, including ISO14001 and OSHA, while driving cost-efficient, reliable plant operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Electrical troubleshooting background.
• Welding skills, TIG welding and brazing.
• Ability to motivate and reach consensus in problem solving.
• Good oral, writing and interpersonal skills.
• Engineering background with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of Lean concepts and their applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.
• Develop and maintain schedules for preventative maintenance
• Keep maintenance records for all equipment
• Management of maintenance staff
• Communicate with insurance carrier to ensure that all facilities, equipment, and property are adequately insured and compliant with regulations
• Work with operations manager and the production team to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner with minimal disturbance to factory output.
• Oversee that facility and grounds are kept in condition consistent with executive team standards.
• Oversee safety compliance throughout entire facility and grounds
• Solicit bids / estimate for all work to be performed by outside contractors
• Ensure that proper permits and regulations are being followed in all projects
• Provides a variety of work with maintenance, which includes carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Oversee and manage paint waste disposal including storage, training and record keeping.
• Ensure all MSDS documents are maintained and current
• Ensure that outside contractors follow all established safety guidelines and use proper PPE
• Responsible for plant safety and compliance with ISO14001 requirements and OSHA regulations.
