Qualifications

• Engineering degree provides the best foundation for the position.
• Experience leading maintenance with ability to manage projects and facility support is an acceptable alternative path.
• Strong administrative, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to think strategically, assess priorities and act decisively on complex problems while managing daily tasks of maintaining the facility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily activities of maintenance staff on all shifts and ensure focus on building maintenance and support, with rapid response to equipment failure.
• Develop technical knowledge and mentor subordinates to service a changing and complex equipment array; promote a positive, service-oriented environment across departments.
• Manage an effective maintenance program to improve facility utilization and productivity across the site.
• Ensure a safe and healthful work environment through safety training, communications, and compliance with EHS requirements; proactively resolve unsafe conditions with staff and vendors.
