Job summary

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee preventative maintenance and general repair operations across AIU facilities, including the Central Office and several schools. The role requires supervising custodial staff, managing work orders, and ensuring safety and compliance with AIU policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, supervising day-to-day field maintenance, and using AIU’s work order system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or related field.
• Experience with work order systems and maintenance scheduling preferred.
• Familiarity with procurement requirements for bids and RFPs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a work vehicle daily.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventative maintenance programs across AIU facilities.
• Perform and supervise general maintenance: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, minor construction.
• Manage work orders, assign tasks, and monitor timelines and quality.
• Inspect facilities and grounds for safety, compliance, and maintenance needs.
• Supervise custodial staff, including scheduling and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors; ensure safety and compliance.
