Job summary

Adams and Associates, Edinburgh, IN, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer at the Atterbury Job Corps Center to lead preventative maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds and systems. The role includes supervising the maintenance team in the absence of the Facility Manager and training Work-Based Learning students.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in building maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid in-state driver’s license. An AA degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience (required).
• Previous lead or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Valid in-state driver’s license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements (required).
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, climbing, walking, pulling/pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of Center facilities, grounds, and systems.
• Apply knowledge of local building codes, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, AC, ventilation, boilers, to keep the Center operational.
• Supervise maintenance staff in the absence of the Facility Manager/Supervisor.
• Provide supervision and training to Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department.
