The Town of Palm Beach is seeking a skilled Building/Facilities Maintenance professional to manage maintenance tasks, oversee vendor work, and supervise teams in a historic public setting. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate repairs, while ensuring safety standards and compliance across town facilities.

Ideal candidates will have multiple years of municipal maintenance experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work independently on diverse projects with contractors and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general building/facility maintenance, construction, project and/or vendor management, including 3 years directing the work of others.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Performs skilled routine/preventative maintenance repairs including plastering, drywall repair, painting, plumbing, carpentry and other facility maintenance tasks.
• Drive truck to transport building materials, equipment, and employees as needed.
• Complete purchase order requisitions for materials, keep records on equipment and materials, and submit project reports.
• Inspect work and provide reports regarding outside contractors and participate in annual inspections.
• Lead contracted or temporary staff with technical training and guidance in complex maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure quality and adherence to contract, and supervise vendor performance.
