Job summary

Chapters Health System is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in Florida to manage overall maintenance of all facilities. Requires 3+ years in maintenance, plumbing and electrical know-how, and the ability to travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities include supervising contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance for fire safety and HVAC, and coordinating with the Facilities Manager on capital needs. On-call nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or trade school training; experience may substitute education.
• Minimum of 3 years in general maintenance and/or equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing schematics and understand safety requirements.
• Readiness to travel to off-site locations and operate company or personal vehicle as needed.
• Must be available for on-call duty nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and maintains building and repairs as directed by Facilities Manager.
• Oversees contractors for HVAC and other disciplines and the bid process for major repairs.
• Maintains fire prevention and suppression equipment to meet regulatory standards.
• Monitors HVAC systems to meet Joint Commission and AHCA requirements.
• Performs routine Facility Department duties and assists in other areas as directed.
