Job summary

CO2000 H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Lead to serve as a trade-specific expert on complex facility systems and building equipment.

The role supports the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance by monitoring production, planning, coordinating, and inspecting the work of staff, and helping identify parts for ordering. The position also involves training, identifying areas for improvement, coordinating projects, occasionally covering shifts,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license; Florida license within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a Facilities Operations/Maintenance role in a hospital/healthcare environment; vocational training in a building trade with 3+ years healthcare facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Supervisor with monitoring, planning, coordinating and inspecting staff work.
• Perform quality assurance checks on work by staff and contractors.
• Identify and locate appropriate parts for supervisor to order; support preventative maintenance on facility systems.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Vocational Technical program and/or apprenticeship in building trades

Florida driver's license within 6 months of employment
