Job summary

The HVAC/R Mechanic II at CO2000 H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, Inc. maintains and repairs facility HVAC systems in a hospital environment, ensuring safe, reliable operation in compliance with codes and standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, timely documentation, oversight of contractor work, and use of building automation and CMMS tools; shifts may include weekends and travel between Moffitt facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years HVAC/R service experience.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification required within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license; Florida license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for HVAC/R and related systems to ensure safety and reliability.
• Ensure PM tasks are completed on time and properly documented.
• Conduct general maintenance and assist with contractor work as needed.
• Demonstrate depth of HVAC/R knowledge including components, tools and materials usage.
• Use maintenance equipment, building automation and CMMS; coordinate with others as required.
