Job summary

The Shire Woodstock in Woodstock, VT is seeking a skilled Maintenance & Operations Technician to perform repairs across carpentry, drywall, doors, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. You will coordinate with qualified specialists and help maintain building and grounds to a high standard.

You will develop and follow maintenance schedules, plan weekly and seasonal tasks, manage tools and supplies, collaborate with Owners and General Manager, handle vendor coordination and safety compliance,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in building maintenance or trades.
• Vocational certification is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and initiative.
• Ability to prioritize daily needs and preventive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Operations: perform repairs across carpentry, drywall, doors/windows, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical; coordinate with specialists; maintain building and grounds.
• Preventive Maintenance & Organization: develop and follow maintenance schedules; plan weekly/monthly/seasonal tasks; organize tools, supplies, and storage.
• Vendor & Expense Management: coordinate with owners and general manager; identify supplies and coordinate with providers.
• Safety & Compliance: keep life safety inspections and servicing on schedule; maintain records; follow safety policies and emergency procedures.
• Documentation: maintain clear records of repairs, inspections, and equipment service.
