Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker to install, maintain and repair the facility's structures and systems in a secure environment. The role involves plumbing, electrical work, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in maintenance or construction, a valid driver's license, and be at least 18 years old. CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace & EOE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of general maintenance or construction experience are required.
• Equivalent technical/trade courses may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair physical structure of facility in keeping with safe/secure operations of the facility.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
• Install/repair electrical apparatus such as wiring or electronic components of machinery/equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to the preventative maintenance plan.
• Provide proper supervision and tracking of inmates/residents assigned to Maintenance Department.
