Job summary

Northshore School District is seeking a Maintenance Foreperson to lead a skilled trades crew and ensure timely, cost-efficient repairs and maintenance across district facilities.

The role requires five years of journeyman experience in building operations, strong leadership, and ability to read blueprints. Expect supervision of multiple trades, coordination with Capital Projects, and ongoing coordination with district staff.

Qualifications

• Education and experience in maintenance or facilities operations, with five years in a journeyman capacity and strong communication.
• Knowledge of multiple trades and ability to read architectural, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
• Ability to write clear recommendations, bid specs, and review proposals; organize work and set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide lead direction to Maintenance Trades employees; receive and organize work orders and set priorities.
• Meet with Director daily to review work plans and schedule crew work orders.
• Inspect completed work for quality and efficiency; arrange training and report evaluations.
