Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) in the West Chatsworth area seeks a Facilities Maintenance professional to repair and maintain structures, fixtures, grounds, and utilities supporting business operations.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently or with teams, including safe operation of tools and equipment. Overtime and on-call weekend rotation are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Facilities maintenance at a manufacturing company or closely related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and PM services on facility machinery and equipment such as air compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, wash equipment, coolant filtration systems, or mist collector systems.
• Support building improvement projects including plumbing, metal fabrication, carpentry, painting and similar duties.
• Requires safe operation of forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Handles a variety of chemicals and oils, including hazardous wastes. Utilizes proper PPE and labeling per state and federal requirements.
• Maintain necessary maintenance records and report issues to supervisor.

Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for repair and maintenance of physical structures, fixtures, grounds, machinery, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems, and all utilities in support of business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and Preventative Maintenance (PM) services on facility machinery and equipment such as air compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, wash equipment, coolant filtration systems, or mist collector systems.
• Support building improvement projects including plumbing, metal fabrication, carpentry, painting and similar duties. Requires safe operation of forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Handles a variety of chemicals and oils, including hazardous wastes. Utilizes proper PPE and equipment. Ensures proper labeling per state and federal requirements.
• Maintain necessary maintenance records. Detect and report unusual conditions and problems to proper supervisor. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Keep work area in clean and orderly condition.
• Assist with general maintenance including cleaning, sweeping, trash removal, mopping of oil – to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Available to work planned and emergency overtime and participates in a rotating weekend on-call schedule

Job Skills & Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills required e.g. sending emails, utilizing CMMS software via tablet or desktop
• Ability to work independently, or as a part of a team with internal and external partners
• Communicates effectively with written, oral, and verbal direction
• Safely operates hand tools and basic power tools

Education and Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Facilities maintenance at a manufacturing company or closely related industry preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
