Job summary

Navy Region Hawaii Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, HI seeks a Maintenance Support Helper to assist skilled workers in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, and related trades. The role supports daily upkeep of facilities and equipment within the NAF Logistics/Warehouse Department (N944).

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of trade practices sufficient to complete simple tasks.
• Familiarity with safe use of common hand and powered tools.
• Requires possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining equipment and facilities in good operating condition.
• Help with general maintenance, repair and alterations to doors, floors, walls, ceilings, electrical switches, fixtures, toilets and showers.
• Assist in minor plumbing repairs and basic electrical tasks.
• Perform light maintenance on air conditioning units and related equipment.
• Drive vehicles to and from sites and maintain a safe work area.
